The operation in Iran is not about attempting to export democracy, and it does not risk becoming a quagmire for the USA, as Iraq became. The Iranians are getting the chance to get rid of the regime—and will hopefully seize it, since the regime is hated and the time is ripe. At the same time, the USA is gaining geopolitical ground vis-à-vis China and Russia.
