The use of knives is rampant. Now a man has been arrested in the security checkpoint at Flesland airport after storming through the security lock. Mental health problems are suspected.

– It is not known how the knife was presented, but the person in question ran through security and was arrested shortly afterwards by uniformed police, writes Frode Kolltveit, head of operations in the Western Police District, in the police log.

The incident took place just before 12.30pm on Monday. The man is being charged with attempted bodily harm.

According to Kolltveit, there was no drama surrounding the arrest and no one was injured.

– The accused will be presented to a doctor before a possible imprisonment. Person assessed to be mentally unstable (NTB)
