A black-clad uniformed man opened fire on Monday morning in the Jewish neighbourhood of Montreal known as Côte-des-Neiges. One police officer was killed and another seriously wounded. A Jewish man was killed as well. The gunman was also killed. The man left behind a manifesto that the police will not allow the public to see.
The police and the media say it contained elements of incel ideology. But Rebel News says it is full of antisemitism, left-wing ideology, and incel themes.
People are now emigrating from Lebanon because it is unsafe for Jews, yet Jews are dying in the Jewish quarter of Montreal.
A civilian, Michael Mizrahi, also died during the incident, although reports suggest that he may have been shot by a police officer. Rabbi Mendel Raskin said that Mizrahi originally came from Lebanon before moving to Israel and later settling in Montreal.
The manifesto repeatedly attacks Jews and Zionists, claiming that there are “many Jews” within the Western ruling class, while also indicating that the author at times refers to it as the “Jewish bourgeois class”.
A copy of the document obtained by Rebel News further claims that “Zionist Jewish influence over the Western bourgeoisie is in fact so strong” that it has shaped Western society itself, and goes on to assert that “Jewish interests dominate the financial, media and political apparatus”, describing this alleged influence as “pervasive and destructive”.
In another passage, the author claims that “Zionist Jews have constructed a system that benefits them at the expense of everyone else”, and characterises Western institutions as “captured by a Jewish elite”.
The terrorist is well-read, if the quotations and references are to be believed: Democritus and Cicero are mentioned. He is preoccupied with a critique of civilisation. With men becoming the losers.
Throughout the document, the author advances theories of female “hypergamy”, claiming that modern women seek only a small group of attractive men, while most men are left isolated and alone. He repeatedly laments the collapse of traditional monogamy and portrays male loneliness as a civilisational crisis.
