Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced in the early hours of Wednesday that it has launched attacks against U.S. military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait.
The attacks were described as a response to U.S. air strikes against Iran earlier in the night.
In Bahrain, the Revolutionary Guard claims to have attacked a U.S. base with drones. Shortly afterwards, the country’s authorities activated air defences.
– Air-raid sirens have been activated. People are urged to remain calm and proceed to the nearest shelter, the Bahraini Ministry of the Interior said in a statement.

In Jordan, the Revolutionary Guard stated that it had struck the al-Azraq base with long-range missiles. According to the Iranians, four targets were hit, including F-35 hangars and a command-and-control centre.
The Revolutionary Guard subsequently announced that the Ali al-Salem base in Kuwait had also been attacked with drones. Kuwaiti authorities have confirmed that air defences have been activated.
The Revolutionary Guard warned that Iranian forces stand ready to deliver a “decisive and crushing response” to any further attacks.
As of 03:50 Norwegian time, the United States had not commented on the claims, which have also not been confirmed by independent sources.
The American attacks against Iran during the night came in retaliation for the downing of a U.S. helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz earlier this week.
