Reports of accidents linked to Iranian military and industrial installations continue to stream in. Two serious accidents within military aviation have been confirmed by the Iranian authorities in recent days.
On Thursday 19 February, an F-4 Phantom II fighter aircraft crashed during training near Shahid Nojeh Air Base in Hamadan Province. One pilot was killed while the other ejected and survived, but with injuries. The cause is stated to be technical failure.
On Tuesday 24 February, a military helicopter crashed into a fruit and vegetable market in the Dorcheh area outside Isfahan. Both pilots were killed. The same was true of two greengrocers, while several people were injured. This accident is also stated to be due to technical failure.
Both incidents have been confirmed by both state Iranian media and independent sources.
The high number of military accidents since the demonstrations against the regime began at the end of December 2025 has led to speculation about sabotage, maintenance problems, disloyal servants, etc.
