Eva Vlaardingerbroek’s citizens’ initiative, the «Save Europe Act», has gathered 500,000 signatures, thereby reaching the second milestone on the way towards the goal of one million signatures.
The «Save Europe Act» calls for a halt to all asylum immigration to Europe, the remigration of migrants who are not integrated or integrable, and the protection of Europe’s cultural and demographic identity. In short: a European policy that prioritises the survival of Europeans as a people.
– A symbol of post-democratic Europe
When Vlaardingerbroek, together with her supporters, attempted to deliver the first half a million signatures to the European Commission in Brussels, they were met with a police blockade and barbed-wire barricades. The police prevented them from reaching the building, which is seen as confirmation of how unwelcome this citizens’ initiative is within the EU bureaucracy.
Vlaardingerbroek describes the barbed-wire barricades as a symbol of «post-democratic Europe»; a Europe in which the voices of ordinary citizens are actively shut out.

500,000 signatures is an impressive achievement in such a short period of time, especially considering the massive silence in the media and the opposition from politicians and technology companies.
Vlaardingerbroek promises to continue the work towards the next milestone, but with more than half a million voices behind it, the «Save Europe Act» can no longer be ignored.
Document has previously written about the citizens’ initiative on two occasions, and for a period afterwards Norway ranked among the top 15 countries by number of signatories. There is still room for more signatures against what, at the time of writing, 559,000 Europeans regard as an existential threat; 1,500 of those signatures have been added during the writing of this article.
