Trump has cancelled a visit to Camp David and summoned all staff to the White House. At the same time, Iran says that the question of enriched uranium is not a topic in the negotiations. Thus, everything is set for a new round of war.
The stakes are higher. The regime risks collapsing.
They have wagered everything on a single card: That the USA would drag the negotiations out over time.
They hoped the liberal media would do the job for them. But Trump knows them a little too well.
Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium is not a topic during the negotiations with the USA, says the deputy head of the Iranian Security Council, Ali Bagheri Kani.
– This question is not on the agenda in the negotiations, Bagheri Kani says to the semi-state Iranian news agency Fars, as cited by Al Jazeera.
According to President Donald Trump, the USA will not permit Iran to retain its stockpile of 440 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 per cent.
The level of enrichment is far higher than what is required in a civilian nuclear programme, but lower than the 90 per cent usually required for nuclear weapons. (NTB)
