President Trump has given the remnants of the Iranian mullah regime a deadline until Tuesday evening US time to enter into a ceasefire. If not, he will attack Iran’s power plants and bridges – that is, in reality, eliminate the country’s ability to function. As so many times before, it is said that the American negotiators are making good progress, and that an agreement may perhaps be reached before the American ultimatum expires.
We can be certain that the Islamic rule behind the scenes will promise anything to avert a catastrophic collapse, but as always the Iranian negotiators will say that only a few details remain to be clarified, and that it will take time. Thus, we are back to 47 years of endless and fruitless negotiations, which the ayatollahs have exploited to take gullible American presidents and credulous European governments by the nose.
When the war began, Trump demanded “unconditional surrender”. Now he wants a ceasefire.
One must hope that he has something in reserve that he has not told the world about, for it is difficult to believe that he is foolish enough to halt the campaign before Iran’s bloodthirsty regime is uprooted, and without the majority of the Iranian people – who hate the regime – receiving help to drive out the Islamic occupation power that has oppressed them for 1,400 years.
Trump must know that the Islamic barbarians, if necessary, will slaughter half the population in order to retain power, and he cannot be unaware that if the remnants of the regime survive, they will, with all the power they possess, continue their efforts to acquire nuclear weapons and continue to finance and arm terrorist groups around the world.
It is possible that Trump can force Allah’s men to accept tangible inspections of their weapons production and uranium stockpiles. This he may then present as a victory, forgetting that if he in 2028 is succeeded by a Democratic president, the entire American-Israeli war effort will have been in vain.
It is in these hours that it will be shown what Donald Trump is made of.
