Mímir Kristiánsson and Sofie Marhaug recently published a new book in which they desperately attempt to put forward some far-fetched arguments to suggest that communism and socialism are actually in line with the Bible. Well, let’s take a brief look at the roots of this ideology.
Communism was founded by Karl Marx in the mid-1800s. In his youth, Marx was a Christian and wrote about how much he loved Jesus (see, for example, The Union of the Faithful with Christ, Marx), but he subsequently turned vehemently against Christianity. For example, in Pale Maiden he says: ‘My soul, which was once faithful to God, is now destined for Hell’. He was also the author of several works in which he cries out curses upon all of humanity and swears that he “shall drag them all down to Hell … and hurl curses after them” (Oulanem). He also writes that he will «take revenge on the Almighty who sits on the throne (God) and tear Him down from there».
In The Fiddler, he writes, amongst other things: … I have made my pact with Satan; he gives me the signs and helps me make the most of my time; I play the death march for him … Many of his other writings are so full of grotesque incantations that I shall spare the readers the details. He was also a faithful member of the Satanist Church in Germany, which he regularly attended with his good friend and fellow Satanist, Moses Hess. (Marx and Satan, Wurmbrand). Hess, incidentally, founded the very first Social Democratic Party and is every bit as extreme as Marx when it comes to anti-Christian statements and hateful remarks. (Ibid) It is also worth noting that Marx himself consistently referred to his ideology as socialism (*Das Kapital*, etc.). It has been said by many, including communists, ‘that communism is merely socialism introduced by force.’ Marx was also asked to summarise socialism in a single sentence. His reply was: ‘the complete abolition of private property’ (see, for example, On Proudhon). As for racism, he was no stranger to that either. Both Marx and Engels mocked Marx’s black son-in-law from Colombia, calling him, amongst other things, ‘Little negro’ and ‘Gorilla’. Perhaps not entirely in keeping with today’s socialists and communists (and not least cultural Marxists) who cry foul at anything that even smacks of such behaviour. This son-in-law ended up committing suicide together with Marx’s daughter. So did one of his other daughters. Three of the others died of malnutrition due to neglect (see, for example, The Devil and Karl Marx, Kengor). Incidentally, Marx’s father said that his son was possessed by a demon, Engels called him a monster of a thousand devils, and his son Edgar referred to him as ‘my dear Devil’. (Ibid). All these facts are thoroughly documented in several contemporary biographies and autobiographies, and if anyone is interested in learning more about this, Richard Wurmbrand’s biography of Marx, «Marx and Satan», is highly recommended. Wurmbrand spent many years in a Romanian prison and experienced this regime first-hand. ‘The Correspondence between Engels and Marx’ also provides a great deal of interesting and important background information. Paul Kengor also published an excellent book a few years ago on the same subject: ‘The Devil and Karl Marx’.
Under communism, it is the state that determines what is right and wrong, and the dogma of evolution always underpins countries that have adopted it. Marx was, incidentally, also very interested in this. He even wrote a letter of thanks to Charles Darwin and dedicated *Das Kapital* to him. Evolutionism was ‘exactly what I needed’, he writes, amongst other things. In another letter of thanks he wrote to Darwin, he states that Darwin “provided him with the scientific basis for the class struggle of the future” (Correspondence Letters, p. 125). The “science” to which he referred here concerned the unchristian idea of the survival of the fittest. Thus, if the proletariat overcomes the bourgeoisie/business owners (those who have provided them with jobs), it is the former’s genes that are most worthy of propagation, and thereby the communist revolution was justified “scientifically” (pseudo-scientifically). In a Darwinian sense, it is in fact positive for people to fight, even to the death, so that the victors’ genes may be passed on and the genes of the weakest eliminated.
Incidentally, it is thought-provoking that Marx wrote in his 1846 book *The German Ideology* (not published until 1932) that the main reason for inequality between people was the sexes, right down to the sexual act itself (he had 40 illegitimate children). The only remedy for this inequality was that the sexes and their significance had to be completely erased (androgenisation of human nature, wherein the sexual difference between man and woman is abolished). This is, in any case, one of the roots of today’s trans ideology.
The Mayflower Pilgrims in the USA actually also experimented with a kind of socialist system of government for a short period in 1620–21, shortly after landing at Plymouth. It ended tragically, with around 50 per cent dying as a result (see, for example, ‘Plymouth Plantation’ by William Bradford or ‘Miracles in American History’ by the historian William Federer). The problem was what often happens: the ‘free rider’ problem. Since all resources were to be shared equally, regardless of how much one worked or contributed, people lost the incentive to work. And so, naturally enough, the system collapsed very quickly. It has been aptly said of socialism: ‘The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money’. That is a good summary. And it is not exactly in line with God’s Word, to put it mildly. Incidentally, this also applies to a social-democratic regime, which is essentially a form of socialism too. The only difference is that in a social democracy, things happen a little more slowly, particularly once oil has been discovered …
Nobel Prize winner and author Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, who spent many years in a Soviet prison in the Gulag and experienced communism first-hand, summed it up as follows: ‘The main driving force behind Marx and Lenin’s philosophy and psychology is a hatred of God that is far more fundamental than their political and economic theories. Militant atheism is not merely a consequence of communist policy; it is not a side-effect, but the central tenet. To achieve this diabolical aim, communism needs to control a population devoid of religious and national sentiment, and this requires the destruction of faith and national borders.”
