Statistics Norway claims: Norwegians don’t understand their own economy

Most people are incapable of assessing their own economic situation, concludes Statistics Norway (SSB) in its report “Outlook for the Norwegian Economy”. This government-commissioned study underestimates the intelligence of ordinary Norwegians. One can almost hear the echo of Gro Harlem Brundtland’s condescending remarks about people’s inability to have the “correct” opinions about what is happening around them.
