James Talarico (D) describes those who wanted to restrict “gender-affirming” treatment for children who believe they were born in the wrong body as a “Christofascist movement”.
Talarico, who is running as a Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Texas, is a symbol of how the party he represents is radicalising. He has criticised legislation restricting gender-affirming treatment for gender-confused children, whose numbers are growing explosively. He has also criticised the state of Texas’s strict abortion law, according to Breitbart News.
Furthermore, Talarico claimed that both the legislation restricting gender-affirming treatment for children and the abortion ban in Texas originated from what he called a “Christofascist movement”.
«One saw it in the legislation against LGBTQ persons, including in the bill that would have denied transgender children gender-affirming healthcare.
And then, of course, both famously and notoriously, we saw it in the previous session with the most extreme abortion ban in the country. All these ideologies stem from this Christofascist movement.»

The Presbyterian theology student has previously made several strange statements. He has claimed that only Christians who are dark-skinned truly understand Jesus, and that Christianity is the “most violent” religion that has inflicted “harm” on Islam.
He has also said that although he believes in the Second Amendment, he nevertheless wants the holy State to introduce gun restrictions that he described as “common sense”.

Perhaps Talarico believes that it is especially dangerous if the despicable whites possess guns in order to protect themselves and their families?
Will he turn a blind eye when it comes to the right to own guns for those who are dark-skinned or kneel towards Mecca? Talarico is, after all, also proud of his many Muslim friends. He probably has some Christian friends as well, perhaps particularly among those who have the “right” skin colour. One can sense the stench of virtue signalling from a long way off.

In addition, Talarico has expressed his disgust for what he describes as Christian nationalism. In a sermon from 2023 he called it “worship of power, social power, economic power and political power, in the name of Christ”.
He further claimed that Christians portray Jesus as “a gun-carrying, homophobic, science-denying, money-grubbing and fear-mongering fascist”.
Talarico is also opposed to schools hanging up the Ten Commandments in classrooms. This is said by an ambitious politician who wishes to represent the USA at the highest level. Has he forgotten America’s identity?

According to a new opinion poll published among others in The Hill, it appears that the Senate election in Texas will be a close contest between Talarico and the state’s Attorney General Ken Paxton (R).
Opinion polls in the USA vary and have moreover proved to be unreliable, something especially the presidential election between Trump and Harris showed us.
Talarico represents Texas, but is a symbol of the direction in which Democrats across the USA are moving.
Movement to the left
There is a clear shift towards the far left in the ranks of the Democrats. First we got the radical group The Squad, with front figures such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib.

All of these are more or less connected to the radical group Democratic Socialists of America, which represents the extreme left. Many conservatives would claim they stand for pure communism.
New York City’s new mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) belongs to the same group, and is regarded by his opponents as a mixture of Islamist and communist. But Oslo’s mayor from Høyre, Anne Lindboe, considers him to be almost like a rock star.

Issues these Democrats are concerned with can include reopening the borders, support for Palestinian violence and cutting funding for the police (Defund the Police). The group, including Mamdani, wants a sharp increase in taxes for the Americans they perceive as rich. The revenue is then to be redistributed to selected, “vulnerable” groups.
These radical politicians despise the nation they represent, a nation that has given them every possible opportunity and rewarded them with celebrity status and great wealth acquired in mysterious ways. How did Ilhan Omar actually manage to become so immensely rich overnight?

This vile mixture of corruption to enrich oneself, combined with contempt for those who work and struggle to try to make ends meet, is a trend we recognise well in Western Europe and Norway.
Midterm elections
The midterm elections are approaching, and the Republicans risk losing their majority in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. American voters are not particularly enthusiastic about the war against Iran, especially not the effect the war had on fuel prices, and this could lead to the Republicans doing badly in the election in November.
This will make it difficult for US President Donald Trump and his administration to implement their policies in the final two years Trump is in the White House.
The midterm elections take place on 3 November. Since the Democrats have obtained approval in several states that postal votes are acceptable, that requirements for ID to cast one’s vote are racist, and that even foreigners can vote, the election result will probably not be known until days or weeks later. The opportunities for election fraud are undoubtedly present.
But Trump has strong support for having taken back control of the borders. Americans are noting that safety has returned in several cities that were out of control. And many Americans support the strengthening of the defence after the decline under Biden.
Wages are rising, illegal migrants are being deported, and it is once again permissible to be proud of being American. Fuel prices are falling again.
And today the USA celebrates 250 years as the nation of freedom, among other things by organising what appears to be the most successful football World Cup in history.
The football World Cup has recreated some of the old love and respect between the peoples of Europe and the USA – to the great disappointment of European socialist regime media and journalists who despise everything Trump’s USA represents.
Much work remains for Trump and the Republican Party, but the indicators point in the right direction. So it is still entirely possible that Trump and his followers can celebrate victory after the midterm elections in November.
The next presidential election in November 2028 will probably be won by a Republican, as things stand now. There are not enough American voters who support the radical candidates from the far left that the Democrats appear to be betting on.
The Democrats have long tried to transform the USA into a one-party state. Perhaps they are succeeding, just in a completely different way than they planned?
