“After months of reviewing intelligence archives and documents, I am today releasing new evidence that the United States government has for a long time funded more than 120 biological laboratories in over 30 countries,” Gabbard said in a video statement.
Gabbard said that some of the laboratories conducted research involving dangerous and highly infectious pathogens. She added that certain facilities engaged in gain-of-function research, a practice that involves modifying pathogens in order to study how they might become more contagious or more dangerous.
According to Gabbard, intelligence assessments had previously determined that at least one US-funded laboratory in Ukraine likely housed dangerous pathogens and remained vulnerable to Russian attack, seizure, or accidental damage.
The Director of National Intelligence accused former government officials of withholding information about the laboratories from the public. She claimed that Americans had not been given a complete picture of the facilities’ scope, locations, and activities.
“Until now, evidence regarding the full existence and funding of these laboratories has been deliberately withheld from the American people,” Gabbard said. “Information surrounding the existence, history, locations, and funding of these US-funded biolaboratories has been deliberately covered up by powerful individuals who falsely claim that they do not exist and accuse anyone who says otherwise of being foreign agents and traitors to America.”

What truly opened Americans’ eyes to biochemical and biological warfare was the leak from the Wuhan laboratory that triggered the Covid pandemic. The Covid-19 virus was bred through cooperation with Fauci and his associates. Yet he was able to sit there and deny it, while the media covered for him.
The pandemic and the attempt to conceal its origins have severely eroded trust in the system. Norway wants to join the EU Health Union, which is planning for the next pandemic. But a mass vaccination campaign like the one during Covid will not proceed nearly as smoothly next time.
Gabbard linked the newly released information to President Donald Trump’s actions to restrict gain-of-function research. She pointed to Trump’s executive order halting federal funding for gain-of-function research worldwide, and said the measure was a response to what she described as the significant risks such research poses to public safety.
She also said that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence had recently instructed intelligence agencies to increase surveillance and information-gathering related to biological laboratories abroad. That effort, she said, has already yielded new information concerning clinical trials and research activities that raise ethical, financial, and national security concerns.
Gabbard also criticised former government officials and public health leaders, including Anthony Fauci, accusing them of misleading the public about the existence of US-funded biological laboratories abroad.
“Politicians, so-called health professionals such as Dr Fauci, and entities within the Biden administration’s national security team lied to the American people about the existence of American-funded and supported biological laboratories and threatened those who sought to expose the truth,” Gabbard continued. “ODNI will continue to work closely with partners across the government to identify where these laboratories are located, what pathogens they contain, and to put an end to dangerous gain-of-function research that threatens the health and well-being of the American people and people around the world.”
She pledged that ODNI would continue working with other federal agencies to identify the locations of the laboratories, determine which pathogens they contain, and prevent future gain-of-function research that could threaten public health and national security.
