Against the backdrop of the G7, Keir Starmer will announce new sanctions against the Russian shadow fleet. This comes after British soldiers for the first time boarded and seized a shadow tanker in the English Channel. The Indian captain is charged with sanctions violations.
– The sanctions are directly targeted at Russia’s illegal shadow fleet and the financial networks used to circumvent Western sanctions and support military acquisitions, British authorities state.
At the same time, Starmer will supply uranium to Ukraine and is coughing up 2.7 billion kroner. The British economy is struggling, but Starmer has money for Ukraine.
The funds will go to Energoatom, which has been implicated in corruption.
