A week ago, a 24-year-old woman was shot inside a sports hall in Älvsjö, Sweden, right in front of witnesses. On Friday, two boys were remanded in custody in connection with the murder. She was initially seriously injured but died in hospital. A 14-year-old girl has now also been charged with aiding and abetting.
The boys have also been charged with planning a murder in a separate case. This is the new Sweden. There are so many incidents that the media are trying to downplay them and normalise them.
The Norwegian police have started using the phrase that an incident “has no significance for the public”, i.e. that it is claimed not to pose any direct danger.
But what effect does it have on the public to witness a murder? In Sweden, it happens in the open street. Or in a sports hall.
Wasn’t that also what happened in Moss?
Society is becoming increasingly brutalised in a way we have never experienced before. Times in the past were brutal. But 14-year-olds did not commit murder.
Here is yet another shocking revelation: the murdered woman worked with children and young people in the area.
So did Trine Krogelien, who went missing in Grimstad on 13 October. The last sighting of the woman was on CCTV footage from the checkout at Bunnpris in Fokussenteret on Tuesday 13 October.
Hundreds of volunteers are still searching for the missing woman from Grimstad
A 14-year-old girl has been arrested and charged with aiding and abetting the murder of a woman in Sweden. Two teenage boys have been remanded in custody for the murder.
The two boys were remanded in custody on Friday. They are charged with murder and complicity in the murder of a 24-year-old woman in the Älvsjö district, south of Stockholm, a week ago. They are also charged with planning a murder in a separate case.
“The latter actually has nothing to do with the murder in Älvsjö. These are completely separate incidents,” says Public Prosecutor Lukas Tigerstrand to the Swedish news agency TT.
The 24-year-old woman was shot and killed on Friday evening last week. The murder took place at a sports ground where football and floorball matches were being played, with many people in attendance. On Wednesday, a memorial service was held for the woman, who worked with children and young people in the area. (©NTB)
