If you recall the opening of *The Odyssey*, the Achaeans build a huge horse which the Trojans believe to be a gift from the gods. They drag it into the city with some misgivings, and are taken by surprise during the night. Western leaders have willingly built a Trojan horse, which they have ignored until it has now ravaged their cities, and everyone knows that these are merely the first gusts of wind before the storm is unleashed.
Barak Seener, a research fellow at the Henry Jackson Society in London, told Fox News Digital that “illegal immigration from the Middle East, North Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, as well as from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh to European states, acts as a Trojan horse to dominate the West. Calls to ‘globalise the intifada’, ‘Free Gaza’ and ‘Stop the genocide’ are code for undermining and ultimately dominating Western civilisation and imposing Sharia law. Macron continues to make the mistake of ignoring this.”
JD Vance tried to warn European leaders at last year’s Munich Security Conference. They were furious and took it as a personal insult. European leaders do not understand what is at stake. The riots in France are telling them that they are on notice.
They have nurtured the snake at their breast, and it has bitten them.
Seener said that, in the same way, it has backfired on the French political establishment because of its political correctness and one-sided support for a Palestinian state. Just as Macron, in his ignorance, declared during the 81st UN General Assembly that Hamas ‘has never been active’ in the West Bank, it is remarkable how Macron rewrites reality to suit his political agenda.
Seener, who has written extensively on Iran, added: ‘He has chosen to address students, teachers, trade unions, lawmakers and business leaders, and the rise in oil prices resulting from the US-led war against Iran. This has nothing to do with the matter at hand. More fundamentally, Macron chooses to ignore the red-green alliance that has fuelled the riots across France, including 38 radical left-wing and Muslim organisations and 16 student organisations, including, amongst others, Communist youth groups and a Muslim student association such as Muslim Students of France.”
European leaders are directing their anger towards Israel and refusing to recognise that celebrating Palestine is akin to climbing onto one’s own funeral pyre.
Ten years ago, they were warned by the Emirates’ Foreign Minister.
