Trump is using the riots in France as a warning to American voters: this is what threatens the US if the borders are opened again. “I warned Macron several years ago,” said Trump. – Close the borders or lose control.
It was during a campaign rally in Wichita, Kansas, that Trump addressed the events in France, which have made headlines around the world.
“If you want to see what is at stake in this election, just look at what is happening in France,” said Trump.
The President blamed the violence on immigrants, jihadists and communists, and accused European left-wing leaders of pursuing immigration policies that undermine their countries.
“We’re not going to let that happen to this country,” he said.
Trump said that several years ago he had warned French President Emmanuel Macron to tighten border controls.
“Close the border, or you’ll lose France,” Trump recalled telling him.
The Democrats are pursuing the same policies as Western Europe, and Trump did not miss the opportunity to remind his audience of this.
“They are losing their country; they are losing Europe,” said Trump. “That will never happen to the United States of America.”
Trump concluded his speech by accusing the Democrats of wanting a future for Americans similar to what the French are currently experiencing.
“When you see burning church spires and violent fires in France, just remember that this is exactly what the radical Democrats want to do to America,” he said.
