X is a source of knowledge and free information, just as the media once were. No wonder they hate Elon Musk. They cannot forgive him for having freed Twitter from the control of the machine. Intelligent people are given a platform completely free of charge and can now reach millions.
Today I made the acquaintance of such a person, thanks to one of our most dedicated readers. It is the algorithms that guide us to such people based on our preferences. It is these algorithms that the EU wants to control, so that you do not encounter such minds.
His name is Brivael Le Pogam. His clarity of thought lights up the whole room!
He has written a summary of France’s rise and fall that fits Norway perfectly, just as it does every Western European country. Politics has become a charade in which politicians compete to convince voters that it is possible to let the show go on whilst kicking the can down the road.
No politician dares to tell voters that they are living on borrowed time, and the parties are squandering the future. The war against Trump is one such act of destruction, for it is only Trump and his people who stand between a hopeful future and ruin. Immigration is merely part of the whole picture; it is the stifling of entrepreneurship and creativity, and the seduction of young people into believing that everything can carry on as before, that constitutes the suicide.
The description Brivael Le Pogam gives of France fits Norway perfectly, and it is hardly a coincidence that Jonas Gahr Støre studied at Sciences Po. He is a product of this elite institution and possesses the arrogance of the top student: They know best. Politics is a charade in which voters hand over all power to those who know best. We are back in the age of the aristocracy.
Brivael is addressing American voters. If they, too, allow themselves to be seduced into voting for a socialist Democratic Party, it’s game over.
We see that Norwegian politicians and journalists are cheering on Mamdani, Abdul el-Sayed and the Squad. We see that the same politicians are on the rise and being put forward on the electoral lists in our country. Muslims have a different loyalty, a different agenda. The same thing is happening in the US.
It is possible to know where this will end. You can watch the film before you buy a ticket.
My dear American friends, in my previous post I gave you a snapshot of where France stands today. Let me now show you how we got here. I want you to watch the whole film before you buy your ticket.
After the war, France was a well-oiled machine. We called it the ‘Trente Glorieuses’ – the thirty glorious years. We built the Concorde, the most beautiful aeroplane ever made. We built a fleet of nuclear reactors in around fifteen years and secured a supply of nuclear electricity that is amongst the cleanest and cheapest in the world. We built ‘Ariane’ and sent Europe into space. We built the TGV, the fastest train on earth. We invented Minitel, a network that was in millions of homes before most of you had even heard of the internet. We weren’t a museum. We were builders.
Then came 1981. François Mitterrand. Think of him as our Bernie Sanders, except that he actually won. At his side, in the office next to his at the Élysée, sat a 37-year-old prodigy named Jacques Attali, his special adviser for the next ten years. The sharpest minds on the left, convinced they could run an economy from a government department.
This is what they did. They governed with communist ministers. In 1982, they nationalised dozens of banks and the country’s largest industrial groups: Paribas, Suez, Saint-Gobain, Thomson, Pechiney, Rhône-Poulenc. They lowered the retirement age to 60. They cut the working week to 39 hours and introduced a fifth week of paid holiday. They introduced a wealth tax. They carried out massive recruitment in the public sector.
Reality set in within less than two years. Capital fled, inflation spiralled out of control, and the franc was devalued three times. In March 1983, Mitterrand was forced to slam on the brakes and introduce austerity measures simply to remain within the European Monetary System.
The right–left axis is becoming an illusion. The right pretends it can change course, but that never happens. Politics is reduced to a discussion about the icing on the cake. Once voters have seen this play out over a few election cycles, they become disillusioned; it seems like a turn-off. They’re just waiting for someone to rouse them from their slumber.
That’s exactly what Trump did. When voters heard him speak in a way no politician ever had before, they knew he was the real thing. That’s why even a video of him making crude remarks about women couldn’t derail the campaign. It merely confirmed what they already knew: that Trump was a flesh-and-blood human being.
But here’s the catch: the brakes never actually stopped anything. They merely slowed down the process. The so-called right wing returned with Jacques Chirac, and nothing was reversed. During Chirac’s presidency, France introduced the 35-hour working week. Regardless of whether it was the left or the right, every government added yet another programme, yet another rule, yet another tax, and no one ever removed anything.
Developments do not proceed in unison across all Western countries. Norwegian schools are trying to produce ‘woke’ pupils who give the ‘correct’ answers. But there is still so much of the old culture left that 50 per cent of our young men would vote for the Progress Party. That terrifies the elite. They are now in a race towards 2029 to prevent the FrP from winning over the youth.
That is why the entire political establishment is focusing on winning immigrant votes and recruiting new faces. This is where Islam enters politics and is met with many outstretched hands.
At the same time, the political class did something even more damaging than mismanaging the economy. It turned young people into a political tool. Instead of teaching young people – including millions of immigrant children – to love the country they lived in, it taught them a narrative of guilt and injustice: France as the oppressor, France as the entity to be despised. You cannot integrate people into a country you have taught them to despise. We are living with the consequences of this narrative today – in our schools, in our suburbs, on our streets.
The political charade opens the door to charlatans. Macron is a charlatan. So is Støre. They are cut from the same cloth. Both want complete control over the narrative and have got the media eating out of their hands.
This was followed by forty years of slow decline, right up until Macron. And the story has a perfect ending. In 2007, Jacques Attali chaired a commission tasked with finding ways to boost French growth. The commission’s deputy chair was a young civil servant named Emmanuel Macron. The commission proposed more than 300 reforms to liberalise the economy. Almost none of them were ever implemented. Even the men who built the system knew it wasn’t working, and not even they managed to reverse it.
Figures don’t lie, if you can find them. Documents by Kjell-Erik Eilertsen demonstrate how electricity exports are bleeding consumers dry and enriching state-owned companies. The depletion of the reservoirs is controlled by people; it is not a natural phenomenon, as the media would have us believe. Only the Oil Fund is saving the mainland economy, and withdrawals are rising year on year. Nevertheless, the tax burden must be increased to give the impression that the government is in control. But it is beginning to dawn on more and more ordinary people that it is they who are the balancing item.
No balanced national budget since 1974. Public spending at around 57 per cent of GDP. Debt in excess of 3,300 billion euros. Growth has remained stuck below 1 per cent.
Now here’s the figure that should keep you awake at night. In 1995, GDP per capita in France was around 27,000 dollars. In the US, it was around 29,000 dollars. We were on a par. Today, France stands at around 49,000 dollars. The US stands at around $90,000. You are now almost twice as wealthy per capita as we are.
Nor do Norwegians have a median income anywhere near that of the Americans. Why doesn’t the media report this? Why don’t they ask Støre and Stoltenberg how it can be that the state is becoming ever richer, whilst the underprivileged – ordinary men and women – are falling behind.
It doesn’t add up.
What has changed? Not our talent. Not our engineers. Not our maths education. The only thing that has changed is that we staked everything on socialism. The 35-hour week, the endless regulation, the taxes that drive away anyone who builds anything, the belief that the state should do everything and that the individual must ask permission for everything.
There is a quote people love to attribute to Einstein: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results each time. We tried. For forty years we tried. Every government promised that one more programme, one more tax, one more regulation would finally sort out one thing or another. You’ve just seen where that led us.
Brivael Le Pogam has a brutal message: if you vote for the Democrats and the Democratic Socialists of America, you’ll deserve it. The writing is on the wall in capital letters. This applies just as much to Western Europeans.
So if you vote for the Democratic Party, which is literally becoming socialist before your very eyes, you’ll deserve what comes next.
Let me tell you exactly what will happen if you go down that path. No one will vote for decline. Every single measure will sound generous, compassionate and sensible. Your property developers will slowly leave the area or stop building. Your state will grow every year and never shrink. Your debt will grow exponentially. And in thirty years’ time, your children will look at a graph like the one I’ve just described and wonder when it all went wrong.
There’s a reason why the Norwegian media hate Elon Musk. He’s a genius; he’s the greatest entrepreneur and inventor of our time. The media have tried to paint Tesla in a negative light, but 75 per cent of Tesla owners still buy a Tesla when they change cars. In some areas, the free market still works. But they don’t get to hear about the three Falcon rockets that were launched on the same day, one carrying a secret spy satellite and another carrying the crew to the International Space Station (ISS).
Western Europe no longer understands American greatness, for they have lost their own.
You still have something we have lost. You have Elon Musk, who launches rockets into orbit and lands them on their tails. You have Palmer Luckey, who is building the defence industry of the future. You have Jeff Bezos, Jensen Huang and thousands of entrepreneurs whom no one has heard of yet, who are building things in garages right now.
Trust your entrepreneurs, not your politicians.
Has anyone in Norway heard of Palmer Luckey?
It’s not without reason that the media started talking Jeff Bezos down when he stepped in and steered the Washington Post away from pure ‘woke’ towards something more mainstream. The Norwegian media still quote CNN as if the channel were the same as in its heyday. But now it’s just a shadow of its former self.
Keep up the façade. Rely on past glory. But how long will that last?
I come from your future. Don’t make it your own.
