On 25 August, Trump said that the Strait of Hormuz had been cleared of mines. On Sunday, the Americans observed that the Iranians were preparing to launch two missiles carrying mines that were to be dropped in the strait. They therefore took out the missiles on Larak Island. This prompted Iran to attack American bases in Jordan, without success.
The Iranians are foaming at the mouth.
“Testing our resolve again will only make the price of your humiliating defeat even higher,” Ebrahim Azizi said in a post on X. He is the head of parliament.
“There is no doubt that no crime, regardless of its scale, goes unpunished; a response that will be devastating, even more painful and instructive, and that will complete the chain of your failures,” he added, before warning Washington: “Wait in fear and terror!”
“Test our resolve one more time, and pay a higher price. Retaliation is coming,” Azizi said, before adding: “JUST RUN!”
The spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Mohebi, also called the attack a “strategic and fatal mistake” by Washington in the economic war, and said that it would tip the balance against those who planned it and entail significant costs, according to Iran International.
