There is no learning curve for journalists and “experts” who cover Trump. The United States is at war. An alliance entails cohesion, that one at the very least does not work against the other. But that is precisely what Western European countries do. They want a rupture with the United States, and journalists are leading the way.
Today it was Peter Svaar who had caught Stoltenberg in passing in the United States. Stoltenberg said that we can contribute to keeping the United States in NATO by emphasising that it is in the United States’ interest, while we increase our own defence capability. Stoltenberg speaks as if the United States does not understand its own best interests.
NRK and Knut Magnus Berge ask foolish questions: – Why has the United States imposed a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz? The United States has explained this ad infinitum, but NRK has not taken note of it. Because they do not wish to. Then they would have to cover the war on the United States’ premises, and that they do not want.
Then they can no longer juggle the “parties” and treat Iran and the United States equally.
Arrogance protrudes when Berge cites that the negotiations will likely restart on Thursday. The parties are said to be moving closer. It is the “expert” Hilmar Mjelde who states this.
Iran is to be allowed to retain its nuclear programme, but within tighter frameworks.
There is no prospect that Trump will agree to Iran retaining its nuclear programme, which NTB claims that it does not possess.
The Trump administration has been crystal clear on this.
Journalists nevertheless constantly speculate about what Trump “wants”.
Mjelde replies: – Trump has no strategy. He governs by impulse. His staff support him and say: – That was a good idea.
To undermine trust in our most important ally in the midst of a war is no trivial matter. Particularly not when it concerns an apocalyptic Islamist state that is willing to sacrifice everything – country and people – in order that the ayatollahs may obtain nuclear weapons.
Iran is said to have proposed a pause of five years. They merely confirm that no sacrifice is too great. They will have the atomic bomb.
This NRK does not want Norwegians to know. For then they might understand that this is an existential war.
Iranians understand it. Including those in Norway. That is why they have a completely different view of Trump. They know that this is serious. But for NRK it is a game.
This war has revealed to many of our new Norwegians where Norwegian media and the government stand: They are on the side of the ayatollahs. They may have suspected it, but to do it is nevertheless something else.
The relationship with freedom-loving immigrants – they do exist – will not be the same after this.
They may begin to think that Norway is not a place to remain if Islamisation continues, and it is proceeding rapidly.
It is the consistency in the anti-Western line that is troubling. The trial balloon was Gaza. But NRK and the government do not like Israel and have, in a sense, written the country off.
Now they have also chosen the anti-Western line vis-à-vis the United States, in a war with a totalitarian regime that seeks nuclear weapons.
Most people do not notice it. They are outmanoeuvred. They do not hear that the campaign against Trump is a well-orchestrated brainwashing. At a high cost.
A new opinion poll in Europe shows that Europeans fear the United States more than they fear China.
The United States under Donald Trump is perceived more as a threat than as an ally, a survey in six major EU countries shows.
Washington is regarded as a greater threat than Beijing in Spain, Italy, Belgium and Germany, according to a poll from Politico.
Only 12 per cent of respondents in Poland, Spain, Belgium, France, Germany and Italy regard the United States as a close ally, while 36 per cent perceive the country as a threat. By comparison, China was seen as a threat by 29 per cent.
At the same time, Russia is clearly perceived as an enemy. 70 per cent of respondents in the six countries see the country as a threat.
This is a result of the hatred that the media have sown over ten years. Poland is the major exception. There only 13 per cent are negative towards the United States.
But then comes the other side of anti-Americanism, for the Left has built upon an old tradition. No Europeans wish to die. Up to 80 per cent do not wish to defend their own country.
Nevertheless, the willingness for personal participation is low. Only 19 per cent say they are willing to take up arms if their own country is attacked. Almost half prefer to contribute in non-combat roles, while 12 per cent say they would consider leaving the country. (NTB)
This is the Europe of Ursula von der Leyen, Jonas Gahr Støre, Mette Frederiksen, Pedro Sánchez, Keir Starmer, and not least Emmanuel Macron.
Europe is nothing – a limp, vague entity that disintegrates upon contact with harsh realities. And there are many of them.
European journalists prefer to become agitated about Melania, Trump, or Hegseth. Christina Pletten in Aftenposten:
In President Donald Trump’s United States, God loves violence, power, and money.
This has provoked many. One of those who has reacted most strongly is Robert Francis Prevost, born in Chicago, now known as Pope Leo XIV.
There is never any mention of the world that Trump confronts, never space for so much as a small doubt as to whether Israel and the United States may in fact be facing actors with whom it is not possible to negotiate in the manner that the peace nation Norway has championed. How did that endeavour actually turn out, by the way? Here it would be relevant, highly relevant, to bring in Epstein. But that would be a breach of propriety in Aftenposten. Norway’s self-image cannot withstand an encounter with Epstein, Hamas, Jan Egeland, Tor Wennesland, who smilingly shook the Iranian foreign minister’s hand in Beirut just before he perished together with the “blood judge” Raisi, who had become president.
They do not live in the world where people bleed if they are stabbed with a knife.
I recently saw a front page in Dagens Næringsliv where the billionaire Leon Black was depicted with the information that he was one of the principal sponsors of the International Peace Institute: Terje and Mona’s creation. Leon Black was an unusually unsavoury person, as it is termed in English. A wealthy man with dark sides. Epstein procured young girls. They complained of sadistic treatment. Black was a “biter”, one who left blood on the carpets. He bit them until they bled. Details such as these allow one to understand who Epstein and his associates are. And whom Terje and Mona met. Or Børge. They did not, of course, speak about blood on the carpets. But rather about Black’s great art collection.
The elite does not wish to be confronted with the choices in the geopolitical world. It is no coincidence that Obama sent 1.7 billion dollars in cash to the ayatollahs. Subsequently, he admitted their offspring into the United States and granted them residence permits.
NEW: The niece and grand-niece of slain Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani were reportedly living ‘lavish’ lifestyles in Los Angeles before being arrested by ICE.

Soleimani was the most dangerous general in the Revolutionary Guard, responsible for the lives of hundreds of American soldiers.
NRK never mentions Iran’s long record of wrongdoing: the bombing of the Jewish community centre in Buenos Aires, the bombing of the US Marines in Beirut and of the American embassy, the plan to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in the United States on American soil. The nuclear weapons programme is not some aberrant programme. It is the regime’s true nature.
But NRK ensures that the lid is kept on. They do not remind us that a Norwegian publisher, William Nygaard, was almost killed because he had published a book that Ayatollah Khomeini placed on an index of books carrying a death sentence.
Fast forward to 2014, when the son of the spokeswoman for the hostage-takers of the Americans at the embassy in Tehran, Eissa Seyed Hashemi, came to the United States on a student visa. In 2016, he, his wife, and his son received green cards. Obama knew very well who was being admitted.

Masoumeh Ebtekar – also known as “Screaming Mary” – was the spokeswoman for the Islamic terrorists who stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days – subjecting them to beatings, starvation, and mock executions.
In 2014, the Obama…

The liberal United States capitulated to evil. This is the core of Obama’s transformation of America, just as it is the core of social-democratic Europe’s capitulation to the invasion. The Democrats have allowed immigrants to draw upon federal funds and do nothing to stop it, not even when they are discovered.

This is the core of Trump’s reckoning with a self-destructive liberalism. The United States is on the verge of losing control over its own destiny. The persistence with which NRK and others oppose Trump clearly shows that they believe it cannot happen quickly enough.
