The matter concerns Kåre Idar Moljord, the lawyer who assisted Rød-Larsen with the property purchase. He is now stepping down as chair of the Financial Supervisory Authority Complaints Board, Norway’s state broadcaster NRK reports.
– Kåre Idar Moljord has informed the Ministry of Finance that he is resigning from his position as chair of the Financial Supervisory Authority Complaints Board to avoid any risk that the board’s public mission, reputation, and integrity could be affected by extraneous matters.
The ministry further states that it takes note of this decision.
