Graham Platner is the Democrats’ candidate for the Senate. He is supported by Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Platner has a large SS symbol tattooed on the right side of his chest. He does not even conceal it. He dances wearing only underpants in a bar. This comes from a party that uses the word fascism about Trump’s America.
Will it pass? Evidently for the party. There, anything goes. But what about the voters?
Platner says he got the tattoo, which is a large skull symbol exactly as the SS used, during a visit to Split, Croatia. They had shore leave, got drunk, and he went into a tattoo parlour and chose a symbol from the wall. It was therefore his choice. Most people recognise the SS symbol, or would, once they found out, become so ashamed that they had it removed.
But Platner dances naked in a bar and is not ashamed. That breaks certain boundaries concerning what is permissible in politics. A Republican would be “hanged” and ostracised, but not a Democrat.

Platner had an account on Reddit where he posted 1,800 comments. He boasts that he masturbates in public toilets. He has an exhibitionist side in which the most intimate details from the genital area must be unfolded publicly.
“I still have to jerk off every time I sit down in a toilet cubicle … that smell of blue water has made me addicted,” Platner wrote in a March 2017 post on Reddit’s r/Military forum, in response to a discussion about nostalgic military smells, according to a report from Fox News.
In another post from 2021, on Reddit’s r/USMC forum, the Democratic Senate candidate from Maine recalled seeing a detailed drawing of a penis on the inside of a toilet while stationed overseas.
“It was beautiful,” wrote Platner in a Reddit thread dedicated to “GWOT [Global War on Terrorism] ‘Dick Art.’”
“Swollen and veiny, it rode toward its penetrating glory upon two steaming hot wheels, smoke and fire enveloping its swelling, winged like Nike as it pressed ever onward toward its conquests,” he continued.
The post was allegedly accompanied by a photograph showing a smiling soldier posing beside the vulgar graffiti inside a portable toilet.
“I sat there in sheer awe, and my joy at going home was overshadowed by the soul-filling joy of being allowed to witness such glory,” Platner added.

Platner has also been partially active in providing weapons training to Antifa and trans groups associated with figures such as Tyler Robinson, who killed Charlie Kirk.

Then it is not surprising that he calls the rural population in Maine stupid and racist.
He tells victims of sexual assault to take responsibility for their lives and not get themselves into situations.
That prompts a commentator on X to ask:
So … it is the woman’s responsibility if she gets drunk and is then assaulted, but it is not his responsibility that he got drunk and chose a Nazi tattoo?
