The NRK personality Agr Soni launched a crude attack on Document journalist Lise Sørensen after a discussion about immigration policy. He gave her the finger, told her to shut up and asked: «Can someone give that woman some dick».
It all began when Lise Sørensen appeared in the studio on Damer i blått with Jannicke Almenning. There she expressed concern that ethnic Norwegians could end up in a minority in their own country. This triggered reactions on the social platform TikTok.
Sørensen responded by making a video in which she explained what she meant.
That made it boil over for the NRK personality Agr Soni, who is a presenter on NRK P3, who posted a video in which he showed his Norwegian ID card, followed by giving the finger and saying: Shut up! In the text below he wrote: «Can someone give that woman some dick».
Document contacted Agr Soni to hear what he meant by this comment, and whether this is acceptable behaviour. Agr Soni did not wish to respond himself. Instead, Document’s journalist suddenly received a message from Remi Horgar, editorial manager at NRK P3.
– The question is whether this is acceptable behaviour in a political discussion?
– We have talked about this and agree that this comment should not have been written. And it is also natural that we continue to discuss this internally, Horgar tells Document.
– You do not have any problem with the view of women that emerges here, and do not wish to apologise?
– When this has not been published on an NRK platform it is not natural for us to enter the discussion and apologise. But as I said, we will continue to talk about this internally.
Half an hour later a new message appears from Horgar. In it he conveys a message from presenter Agr Soni.
– It was unfortunate wording on my part and I acknowledge that. It was meant as satire/humour but it came out wrong. I apologise for that!
