The modern symbol of medical evil, Dr Anthony Fauci, was summoned to testify before the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and all the major television networks broadcast the hearing live.

Senator Ron Johnson held up a large stack of scientific studies indicating that the Nobel Prize-winning antiviral medicine Ivermectin may be effective against Covid-19.

At the same time, he confronted Dr Fauci over his campaign against the medicine and the fact that, despite extensive research, he denied that there was evidence of its effectiveness.

William C. Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura were awarded the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of Avermectin (later developed into Ivermectin), for use against river blindness, although it is used to treat a wide range of infections.

It costs almost nothing to manufacture, as the patent has expired, and it is one of the world’s most widely used, thoroughly tested and safest medicines.

The problem in 2020 was that US legislation states that a vaccine cannot be granted emergency authorisation if alternative treatments exist.

Fauci, who is regarded as the pharmaceutical industry’s extended arm within the regulatory authorities, therefore had an important task: to suppress anything that could challenge the vaccine – even if it worked. Better that people die. After all, the mRNA vaccine is the most profitable pharmaceutical product in the world.

Fauci chose not to answer any of the questions put to him in the Senate. There is now discussion of bringing criminal charges against him, despite his having received a pre-emptive pardon from former President Joe Biden.

In 2022, Liv Marie Wold Hagen of the state broadcaster NRK evidently considered it necessary to warn against the medicine and described it as horse medicine:

“Vaccine sceptics take horse medicine against coronavirus: Huge increase in seizures. While people were getting vaccinated against coronavirus, customs officers discovered that many were instead illegally ordering the substance Ivermectin through the post.” (1)

By that time, a substantial body of research already existed suggesting that it could be effective. Wold passed over this in silence. Not a single word about it. Instead, we were meant to associate it with unserious “anti-vaxxers” taking horse medicine.

The label “horse medicine”, combined with the omission of all the research that already existed, formed part of the campaign against the new out-group that everyone was expected to ridicule: the anti-vaxxers.

So if the Norwegian media are now downplaying the uproar unfolding in the United States, we must understand what they themselves have been part of: medical evil.
