Here, an adult man attacks SIAN member Anna Bråthen (65) in the heart of central Oslo.
“– One wonders whether it was the jacket that made him see red, because they hate Norwegian flags,” Lars Thorsen, chairman of Stop the Islamisation of Norway (SIAN), tells Document.
In the video, the man can be seen approaching from behind before attacking 65-year-old Anna Bråthen, who is active in SIAN. She was not physically injured and, according to several witnesses, this was because others intervened quickly.
Thorsen himself sprayed the man with defensive spray.

“– We know that before the conference he was sitting on the corner knocking back beer. I have video of him standing next to another man. At that point he is harassing Kjetil Østhus. That was on the way in, before the event began. I do not know whether he had been drinking all evening or not. But his judgement certainly appears to be severely impaired,” says Thorsen.
– What does this say about the state of the far left?
“– It is not the first time that we, or she, have been assaulted and subjected to violence by far-left extremists. The previous time it happened was right by the Storting. We reported it. The police believed it was entirely reasonable for them to attack us. I sprayed that man as well,” he says.
– Will you report this?
“– We have just done so,” Thorsen confirms.

Bråthen was attacked in connection with the Norway Democrats’ remigration conference, which took place in central Oslo. During the conference, several people were removed by the police, and two individuals were also arrested.
“– In a democratic society, political disagreement should be met with arguments, not violence. All citizens must be able to participate in political meetings and events without fear of being subjected to physical attacks,” says party leader Anne-Cecilie Kristensen in a press release.
Document has attempted to contact the man who carried out the attack in order to obtain his comment. He has not responded to our enquiries.
