Lesley Groff was Jeffrey Epstein’s chief of staff for 19 years. She is mentioned 167,000 times in the Epstein files. Camilla Victoria Reksten-Monsen was Terje Rød-Larsen’s chief of staff for ten years. They worked closely together.
Groff has retired to her home in New Canaan, Connecticut. Reksten-Monsen has obtained a position with the Norwegian Intelligence Service.
On Tuesday, Groff was required to appear before the House of Representatives and testify about her work for Epstein. Epstein called her an extension of his brain, indispensable.
Nevertheless, Groff claims that she knew nothing of Epstein’s dark side, despite being the person who made his daily life function. She had access to all persons, contact details, meetings, and travel arrangements.
The situation is different with Camilla Reksten-Monsen. She does not have to testify.
Norwegian media and politicians are asking whether the Norwegian Intelligence Service knew about her past. It is inconceivable that they did not. Camilla Reksten-Monsen obtained the job because she had worked with Rød-Larsen and Epstein in New York. She possessed knowledge that the Norwegian Intelligence Service was keen to acquire.
Epstein had been one vast intelligence operation.

Free Press carried an article about Lesley Groff. She handled not only his entire schedule, but also the daily massages. The girls often sat waiting in her office and received money from her.
Yet she claims that there was a watertight division between the social life and “the other thing”, the exploitation of the girls. Here, too, Groff and Reksten-Monsen have something in common: They blended into the background, attracted little attention, yet were indispensable.
Groff was originally listed as a co-conspirator.
The disclosure of Groff’s name also provides broader context to an email exchange dated 16 August 2019 from the FBI’s New York office, which contains details of a list of alleged co-conspirators, including Groff, whose name remains redacted in the document.
In the document, an alleged co-conspirator is identified as a resident of Connecticut who was considering whether to cooperate with the investigation. The document claims that the person had extensive contact with Epstein’s victims, including paying them and telephoning them to ask whether they had “new girls” for Epstein.
“Multiple victims and cooperating co-conspirators stated that (name redacted) worked from Epstein’s New York residence as his personal assistant and was responsible for making calls to arrange massage appointments,” the email states. Massage appointments were known to be Epstein’s code word for sex.
But Groff escaped prosecution. The fund established to provide compensation to the victims contains a clause stating that the victims may not sue Epstein’s assistants. That was a clever move by those who established the fund, since it removed any possibility that the assistants would talk.
New DOJ files reveal Epstein’s longtime Connecticut aide was investigated as co-conspirator
Tanya Lukyanova describes a fascinating phenomenon: Epstein’s personal assistant of 20 years has been able to retire and live quietly with her husband as though nothing had happened.
She kept track of the convicted sex offender’s schedule; she managed his daily affairs and monitored everything from his haircuts to the daily massage appointments, many of which, according to victims, were code for “sex”; and arranged everything for the young women whom Epstein brought to his Caribbean island and his ranch in New Mexico. Groff was so deeply involved in Epstein’s affairs that her name appears more than 150,000 times in the recently released Department of Justice documents. Only Epstein’s name appears more frequently.
Based on their responsibilities, Groff and Reksten-Monsen must have known one another.
- Jeffrey Epstein connection: Reksten-Monsen is mentioned several hundred times in Epstein documents. She is said to have been a link between Epstein and IPI/Rød-Larsen, including logistics relating to meetings and donations. Epstein donated to IPI, and she coordinated contacts. This has led to questions regarding knowledge of Epstein’s activities. Media outlets (including VG) have covered her role in detail, including allegations of involvement in internship arrangements and meetings with prominent individuals.
- Family property: There has been coverage of the fact that her mother and stepfather sold property (Sverreslottet) to Rød-Larsen/Juul under controversial circumstances.
- She has been the subject of debate on social media and in alternative media concerning elite networks, Epstein, and the Norwegian power structure.
- It would have been impossible for Reksten-Monsen to have held the role she did without knowing and communicating regularly with Groff.
In short: Yes, she knew her—not merely superficially, but through professional cooperation documented in emails. This forms part of the broader Epstein–IPI scandal that has been covered in Norwegian and international media.
Yet the two women in key positions have not attracted any significant interest. Until now.

VG tracked her down to the Norwegian Intelligence Service.
The fact that a woman who worked closely with Epstein’s chief of staff could walk straight into a position with the Norwegian Intelligence Service raises many questions. What were Reksten-Monsen and Rød-Larsen doing?
According to Bowen (an employee of IPI), Reksten-Monsen was rarely at the office in New York. She was there approximately only when Rød-Larsen was there. Three or four times a year, he estimates.
Per year! Yet the money kept flowing in. Rød-Larsen cultivated connections, just as Epstein did.
Could it be that Reksten-Monsen possessed so much valuable information that she was able to offer her services and the Norwegian Intelligence Service could not refuse?
There are so many big fish in the waters surrounding Epstein that it seems plausible: Robert Gates, Børge Brende, Leon Black, and Rød-Larsen had the portfolio of Middle Eastern dignitaries.
Now Groff has been questioned in Congress. It usually takes a few days before the transcripts are released. She was so frail that she had to be supported as she entered. Even if she cannot be held criminally liable, she may be required to explain what she knew.
