The Afghan Irshad Ahmad Ahmad was as recently as in 2024 convicted of aggravated rape of a 13-year-old girl in Malmö, but escaped prison. Now he is again convicted – for a new brutal rape of a 14-year-old girl under threat with a pistol. This time the sentence is a little stricter. This is reported by Fria Tider.
The incident occurred in November last year, when the girl was lured to the location and kept locked in a basement room where she was raped with a pistol-like object against her head.
The rape of the 14-year-old was carried out as punishment because her boyfriend refused to participate in a planned murder.
The boyfriend, who was then 13 years old, has stated that he was threatened that his family would be killed if he did not carry out the murder on assignment from Ahmad.
Via Snapchat, Irshad Ahmad Ahmad, 17, is said to have demanded sex from the girl. When she blocked him, she was lured to the basement premises by male friends.
The District Court convicts Ahmad of aggravated rape of a child, aggravated unlawful threat and incitement to murder. He is sentenced to two years of youth prison.
The 17-year-old Afghan has previously been convicted of a similar brutal rape. In 2024 he was convicted of having, together with an accomplice, raped a 13-year-old girl under knife threat. Despite the seriousness of the crimes, he was then sentenced to only ten months of youth prison.
In police interrogation the 13-year-old described the threats: “I am going to stab you, and no one can hear you here. I am going to leave you here to die”.
Two days later a 13-year-old boy was lured down into the same basement, where he was assaulted, robbed and threatened with a bloody video.
Established media such as SVT, Expressen and Sydsvenskan report on the verdict, but do not identify the rapist.
Fria Tider does so, however, writing that Irshad Ahmad Ahmad came to Sweden from Afghanistan in 2017 and became a Swedish citizen in 2022. Since he has obtained citizenship, it is not possible to deport him under current Swedish legislation.
