In Sweden, a Syrian and an Afghan migrant repeatedly raped a disabled 15-year-old girl under threats and violence. Now a 17-year-old is convicted of rape – but escapes with youth care. His accomplice escapes punishment entirely due to his young age. This is reported by Fria Tider and Samnytt.
The girl was subjected to the assaults in November 2025. “The crime scenes are four different public toilets in a shopping centre in Uppsala,” writes prosecutor Karin Persson in an email.
For several hours the immigrants moved between the toilets and raped the 15-year-old.
The Syrian and the Afghan are said to have acted together and used both violence and threats to carry out vaginal and oral intercourse, as well as penetrating her with their fingers.
The rapists also filmed the assaults and threatened the girl with spreading the videos.
“He said that if you tell anyone, then we will do something. And spread the video everywhere,” the girl said during questioning.

The acts of violence included, among other things, blows to the back and buttocks as well as restraint that caused pain.
The assaults were discovered when the girl sought medical help in the autumn. In connection with the doctor’s visit, it was reported to the police.
The 17-year-old, who was 16 at the time the crimes were committed, is now sentenced to closed youth institutions for one year for aggravated rape, offensive photography and child pornography offences.
A so-called proof of guilt against the accomplice, who was 14 years old at the time of the crime, showed that he was also guilty. However, he cannot be punished due to his age.
After the assaults the rapists posed laughing in front of the camera.
Samnytt identifies the perpetrators as 17-year-old Bilal Almousa from Syria and 14-year-old Nima Mohebi from Afghanistan.
Almousa escapes deportation, as in addition to his Syrian citizenship he has also acquired Swedish citizenship, and under current Swedish legislation he therefore cannot be deported from Sweden.
Mohebi cannot be deported either, as in addition to his Afghan citizenship he has also been granted Swedish citizenship.
The two youths are ordered to pay compensation totalling 295,000 Swedish kronor to the girl they raped.
A third person, a close relative of Nima, who had lent his mobile phone to the two perpetrators to film the assaults, had requested to have it returned after it was seized by the police. The court however rejects this request and rules that the mobile phone shall be considered confiscated.
The trial at Uppsala District Court was partially held behind closed doors out of consideration for the plaintiff’s situation. The judgment may be appealed.
The Syrian Bilal Almousa was previously convicted of aggravated assault after a man was subjected to kicks to the head while lying on the ground. The sentence on that occasion was only 70 hours of youth service.
