German authorities warn that a dangerous alliance has emerged between Islamists and left-wing radicals.
The two groups are coming together because they have common enemies: Israel, Jews and police officers, according to Berlin’s Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz – BfV).
BfV is the German security service that described the Alternative für Deutschland party as a far-right party. However, they eventually had to temporarily withdraw the definition.
After the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October 2023, the Palestinian demonstrations are said to have served as «a platform for anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli propaganda,» writes BILD.
The demonstrations stood to «make overt hatred of Israel and anti-Semitism plausible and feed it emotionally.» This impressed many on the German left.
Far-left activists hostile to Israel «showed solidarity with the ‘Palestinian resistance’, which regularly included armed resistance.»
The crimes of Islamic terror groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as the mullahs of Iran, were «downplayed, often justified and sometimes even celebrated by the crowd.»
The core of the Berlin environment consists of «various alliances between several groups from the spectrum of foreign-related extremism, as well as the Islamist and parts of the left-wing extremist community.»
That means: an alliance of Islamists and left-wing extremists.
We have seen a similar fusion between left-wing and Islamist Palestine protesters here in Norway. Some would argue that this alliance extends all the way up to government level.
Our Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide has been declared persona non grata in Israel after his many attacks on Israel’s defence struggle.
Universities are leading the way
As in the US, universities in Germany are leading the way in Jew-hatred, At universities in Berlin, where Israel-haters repeatedly demonstrate and riot, «the driving forces were organised dogmatic left-wing extremists and internationalist groups.»
These groups do not only accuse Israel. It is also common to attack the German police for engaging in «state repression.»
The false image of “a police force acting excessively and illegally” was deliberately created.
Recently, a police officer in Berlin was dragged into the crowd by the Palestinian mob and nearly trampled to death. «Pure luck that he survived» was the headline in BILD.
Other police officers are constantly subjected to gross abuse and outright threats. Jew-hatred has returned to Germany, the country responsible for the Holocaust.
BfV lists the anti-Israel movement Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) among «extremist actors with ties to the Middle East.»
The group’s leitmotif is «the denial of Israel’s right to exist.»BDS supporters have co-operated with both «left-wing extremists and Islamist groups.» The slogan From the river to the sea fits perfectly with the ideology of both Islamists and people associated with the BDS movement.
At BDS events, «signs with stereotypical anti-Semitic images» have been repeatedly displayed. Little or no attempt is made to hide the pronounced hatred of Israel and Jews.
