A strong police presence took the wind out of the sails of the demonstrators who had turned up to harass the Norway Democrats’ Remigration Conference. They were simply not allowed through and had to content themselves with shouting “no fascists in our streets”. When one sees the development in Europe one may wonder who the fascists are.
The public does not care. People come and go and the demonstrators look ridiculous.

All Sofia Rana and others can do is photograph people on the other side.
But this is not New York or New Jersey. There mingling with George Soros’s and the Democrats’ shock troops can cost you your life. It is a completely different level of violence.
Here one can mingle and talk to Klassekampen’s Danish journalist.
That is a good thing, to put it in Øgrim’s terms.
A remigration conference clearly does not arouse interest among immigrants. Cora Alexa Døving and Sofia Rana claim that it means “deportation”. Døving works at the HL Centre on Bygdøy. That does not tone down the rhetoric, but now Jewish organisations have said that there is too much multiculturalism and Islam and too little about the Holocaust.
The left believes they can pull the same Nazi trick once again and make it stick.
But it falls flat.
The problem is of course that what is growing on the left resembles Nazism more. The clear sympathy for the theocratic regime in Iran has caused damage. This also applies to Norwegian media.
In other words, things are not going well and Trump-hatred cannot hide it.
The Remigration Conference consists of moderate right-wing people, an occasional cheap shot may occur, but the left has cried wolf, wolf! for so long that people no longer react.
They see entirely different wolves and that is the left’s big problem.
If they took people seriously they would get much further.
But they have decided to fight the Second World War all over again.

The demonstrators are different. Colourful elements have appeared.
Imagine if the left could realise that freedom of assembly also includes their political opponents.
That the Norway Democrats can hold such a conference in the centre of Oslo without people or property being harmed is a victory for freedom of expression.
