On day four, NRK entered the war. Dagsrevyen opened by stating that 165 had been killed in the attack on a girls’ school in Minab. NRK failed to mention that a base belonging to the Revolutionary Guard (Revolusjonsgarden) lay 60 metres away. Instead, the issue raised was whether the aircraft were Israeli or American. The word war crime was mentioned.
NRK intends to run the war through the “Gaza” method: full pressure on all accusations against the West, and no questions asked about the sources, which are Iranian.
This is how the war against Hamas was transformed into a show in which the audience was brainwashed over two years.
It proved effective. NRK and the other media outlets used stringers in Gaza who filmed. There could be two segments in a single broadcast. The blood flowed. Images that had previously been prohibited for reasons of decency were published. What mattered was maximum effect.
The result was not long in coming. Professional groups stood up for Palestine and became Hamas. Attempts at distinction were waved away. It became acceptable to shout “Death, death to IDF.”
This campaign has long roots. Every time Israel had to respond to Hamas or Hizbollah rockets, journalists set out on assignment and depicted how brutally the Israelis behaved. Reporters such as Fredrik Græsvik and Sidsel Wold could revel in suffering and the public shaming of the Jewish state and its “war machine”. The picture that was drawn was of a merciless state.
The gaze was never directed at those who pushed the civilian population in front of them.
The effect of the Gaza campaign was that a large part of the population became anti-Israeli, and that people no longer dared to protest when outright antisemitism was expressed. This fear of standing up for Israel is one of the worst consequences of the media’s war.
Now it is the clerical regime they defend, and the method is the same.
Trump must not be allowed to win. That is the principal objective. Therefore Iran’s capacity for retaliation is emphasised. The United States has taken on more than it can handle. “Experts” are called in: regime change from the air has never worked. Then soldiers must be deployed on the ground. It will become a quagmire. The United States will lose. Alternatively, it will drag the entire region down into the abyss.
There are several scenarios, but all are negative for Trump and the United States.
The media turn this into an existential struggle — for their own sake.
They forget that this war also involves millions of people in Iran and in the diaspora who wish to cast off the religious yoke.
The media have gone so far in collaboration and adaptation to an Islamist regime that they defend Islamic territory in Europe, the United States and — if it comes to that — in Iran.
This means that the civilisational war has reached a new level. It has reached the West. For the war is now taking place in the Western “space”.
It is a multi-front war:
Sidsel Wold and Yama Wolasmal take care of the Middle East. Tove Bjørgaas takes care of the war against Trump together with Anders Tvegård. Anders Børringbo fights for the EU and Jonas. Joakim Reigstad takes care of the Nordic region. Gry Blekastad Almaas defends Starmer.
But this is not journalism. It is pure activism.
That is why Document is needed more than ever. We must give the public the opportunity to form its own opinion, to see the matter from several sides.
When Hanne Eggen Røislien says the same as the former Palestine activist Tuastad — that Hizbollah are strong in Lebanon — this is simply nonsense. Hizbollah are only a shadow of themselves, and yesterday we could hear that Lebanese police are now arresting Hizbollah members in the open street. Their state within the state is over.
But you will never hear that from NRK and their experts.
Thus it is in all areas.
They are no longer legitimate, for they cheat with their mandate, which was supposed to be enlightenment.
At that point they pass over into becoming a regime.
