FN continues its persecution of Israel, with sanctions, boycotts and legal prosecution. Now it is a commission that wants Norway to intervene against Israeli soldiers on Norwegian soil. Why not Israeli citizens altogether? Malaysia has expelled an American with dual citizenship. That is where the UN is heading.
The UN’s method is reminiscent of the Third Reich: The persecution began by isolating the Jews and then excluding them. Once they had been excluded, they could be destroyed.
It is the same path the UN has embarked upon, and it is dividing and polarising the world organisation.
The head of the UN’s independent commission of inquiry believes Norway should investigate and, if appropriate, prosecute Israeli soldiers who are present on Norwegian soil. Israel’s embassy has reacted.
In an interview with Klassekampen, Srinivasan Muralidhar urges the Norwegian authorities to act. He heads the UN Commission of Inquiry for Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
On 23 June, the commission presented a report which, among other things, concludes that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza by deliberately targeting Palestinian children.
“We are talking about crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide,” Muralidhar told the newspaper.
He believes the Norwegian police can open investigations into persons who are present on Norwegian soil and refers in particular to soldiers from units mentioned in the report. (NTB)
Since Israel’s defence is based on a large reserve of reservists, one can stretch the definition and say that everyone who has completed military service is potentially guilty.
This is what the UN has become. It is no coincidence that chief prosecutor Karim Khan sought arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Allon for crimes against humanity.
They must now be careful which countries they land in. We have not heard Norway protest against this treatment of a sitting prime minister. Would Norway arrest Netanyahu if he were forced to make a stopover?
Kripos is aware of the report, but says they must have concrete cases to deal with. Perhaps the political Left and the media can provide them?
Kripos confirms to the newspaper that it is responsible for investigating international crimes and is aware of the UN report, but emphasises that concrete information must exist before a case can, if appropriate, be opened.
The UN has stretched the hide too far. Khan will have to resign, but others are ready to carry the “work” forward. The Norwegian press in particular is receptive. They are not picking up the signals about where the UN and parts of the international community are heading.
But Marco Rubio takes antisemitism seriously.
Malaysia’s ambassador to the United States was summoned by the US State Department to explain Kuala Lumpur’s position on Israel, state media reported, citing the country’s foreign minister.
Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan said Ambassador Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob had told the State Department that Malaysia’s long-standing policy of not recognising Israel was nothing new.
“This has always been Malaysia’s policy. Our immigration policy does not recognise the State of Israel or the Zionist regime. This has long been our position.”
“There was a person with dual citizenship, in the United States and Israel, who entered Malaysia using his American passport. Subsequent checks, however, revealed that he also held Israeli citizenship, and we asked him to leave the country,” Bernama quoted Mohamad as saying.
Reuters has requested a comment from the US embassy in Malaysia.
The dispute was triggered after Network School, the “digital nomad” community founded in Malaysia by American investor Balaji Srinivasan, came under scrutiny after social media users claimed that it included participants from Israel.
Malaysia has no diplomatic relations with Israel and is known to be an ardent supporter of the Palestinian cause.
An immigration investigation into Network School was subsequently carried out, and the authorities found that all participants had valid travel documents.
However, it was ultimately shut down by the authorities on Tuesday.
Eight US members of Congress later sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressing their outrage at Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s plan to track down and immediately expel all Israeli citizens found in Malaysia.
They urged the State Department to review the United States’ security and economic ties with Malaysia.
They also urged the State Department to suspend funding for the International Military Education and Training programme, which provides professional US training to Malaysian military personnel, unless the decision is reversed within 15 days.
