It is true that the war is beginning to lose public support. Sixty-nine per cent are opposed, and only 30 per cent support the war. The Norwegian media are celebrating the midterm elections a little too early. What Norway’s state broadcaster NRK does not report is that the Democrats are fully committed to socialism and increasingly resemble communists. Admittedly, more Democrats have a favourable view of socialism than of capitalism, but communism is no election winner in the United States.
That will be Trump’s most important campaign issue, and candidates such as Hasan Piker and Mamdani are handing it to him free of charge.
There is nothing Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries can do about that.

Kamala has decided to ride the socialist tiger, and that can only end in spectacular failure.
That Americans’ attitude towards the war has changed is simply a fact. Public opinion shifts. A victory could swing it back, but what Trump cannot afford in the current situation is the loss of soldiers.
Voters remember nothing. They do not remember the humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan and the 13 people killed at Abbey Gate.
They live in the present.
