Andy Burnham should distance himself from a government-commissioned report that contains tyrannical empty talk. Once again it is among other things about LGBTQ madness.
Brendan O’Neill addresses the report in a commentary in The Telegraph. O’Neill was formerly editor-in-chief of Spiked Online, with which he is still affiliated.
Classic, fact-based understanding of biology is now considered misinformation. If you refer to a person with a penis as a man, you risk being labelled a prejudiced, malicious and hateful liar.
This is stated in a report commissioned by the government’s science council, which classifies «anti-trans» views as a form of misinformation.
The Conservative Party has urged Andy Burnham to condemn the report, which is compared to the «thought police» from George Orwell’s 1984. The Tories call the report’s conclusions a «scandalous attack on our rights».
The British health service NHS has launched a campaign on TikTok, as young Britons increasingly trust influencers rather than traditional (read: publicly sanctioned) sources when it comes to health advice.
It was in this connection that Professor Frankie Swords, the new national medical director, warned that misinformation had become «a real threat to public health».
«There is a lot of misinformation out there, and I am concerned that this is becoming a real threat to public health. People are increasingly exposed to dangerous advice.»
Brendan O’Neill believes «misinformation» is a term the «elite» uses as its favourite weapon against what remains of common sense in Britain. The situation is admittedly not much better in Norway.
It is bad enough when an activist with fluid gender and pink hair on TikTok refers to science as «fake news». But to see such anti-scientific nonsense in a report commissioned by the government’s office for science is truly unbelievable.
O’Neill too recognises the tactic described by Orwell.
This is the result of the work of seven academics who were commissioned by the government to draw up guidelines for «identifying and combating harmful disinformation».
What they have actually arrived at is a comprehensive programme for thought control that would have made even Big Brother think: «Folks, take it easy.»
That the report is under the auspices of what the authorities shamelessly call the «science council» is in many ways the nail in the coffin, a confirmation that absolutely nothing that comes from those who govern Britain can be trusted.
One cannot have confidence in scientific advice from woke-infected authorities who have no idea what science actually is.
The report focuses on 11 central categories of «misleading information», and one of the categories is «anti-LGBTQ+ narratives». It is among other things allegedly «harmful» to use the term «gender ideology» to describe trans ideas.
The term «gender ideology» was used by the gender activists themselves about a week ago, but as always the woke mafia constantly changes what is acceptable language. In this way they ensure that ordinary people are never up to date, and always end up in the hateful category.
One should also be careful not to get involved in «controversies around transgender athletes», which is highlighted as a fruitful area for misinformation.
Here Imane Khelif is mentioned, the male Algerian Olympic boxer who caused an uproar when he was allowed to compete in the women’s category at the Paris Olympics in 2024. This despite allegedly having failed gender tests a year earlier.
Unsurprisingly Khelif won gold, something he would never have achieved by competing in the men’s category, where men belong.
One is supposed to accept without blinking that men beat up women in a sport as physical as boxing, something that harms the woman and destroys the sport. If not, one is prejudiced and filled with hate.
Well, some prejudices one should bear with pride. And although hate may perhaps be unnecessary, a deep contempt for these gender tyrants and their lackeys in politics and the media is absolutely in order.
Even in chess women cannot hold their own in the open category. The best female chess player of all time, Judit Polgár from Hungary, was at her best ranked number 8 on FIDE’s ranking list.
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling experienced that the children she had turned into billionaires and superstars turned against her, and that her books were burned in bonfires. Rowling did not let herself be pressured, and it ended with her and other brave women, such as swimmer Riley Gaines and For Women Scotland, emerging victorious from the ridiculous conflict.
It is not only the definition of gender that is turned on its head. Even the understanding of what morality actually means has ended up far out on a slippery slope that is completely incomprehensible to ordinary people who are not woke-hypnotised.
The only misinformation in the «controversies around transgender athletes» is when biological men claim to be women and then snatch gold medals from real women.
It lifts «doublethink» to dizzying new heights to call women who tell the truth spreaders of misinformation, only to nod approvingly when some guy in a leotard says: «I am a lady.»
O’Neill has clearly forgotten the slogan of the LGBTQ gang: Only trans women are real women. Calling oneself a woman without possessing a penis is thus a symbol that one hates trans people, just as it is considered hateful by the trans mob if lesbian women refuse to have sex with men wearing makeup, wig and dress.
It is not so strange that other professional liars, such as Jonas Gahr Støre and Raymond Johansen, are motivated to dance with their role models in the parade of lies in the Pride parade.
The report also mentions «institutional delegitimisation» of the EU as an example of «misleading» information. Opposition to a hyper-corrupt EU, which has ruined the European economy and let in enormous numbers of violent immigrants, will soon be criminalised.
Especially now, as the EU is increasingly approaching a possible war against Russia without enough soldiers, weapons or support from the USA.
Opposition to the EU is not «misinformation» – it is a completely legitimate opinion shared by millions, writes O’Neill, who himself was a Brexit supporter.
If one is sceptical of mass immigration one is also guilty of «misinformation». It is allegedly harmful to «[link] minority groups to crime or cultural threat».
But it is not «misinformation» to point out that men from Afghanistan are overrepresented in the number of reported sexual assaults. Or that Pakistani men more often are suspects in cases of group-based sexual exploitation of children – what some call «grooming gangs».
To demonise a free and open debate about the consequences of «diversity» is not about misinformation, but about silencing ordinary people who are simply worried about the future of their children and their nation.
The report proposes a programme for «psychological vaccination» in schools. Children must be trained to develop «psychological resistance to future manipulation», it says.
When O’Neill read this in the «scientific» report, a cold gust of unease ran down his spine.
It is pure 1984 – to instil in children what the intellectual elite considers «correct thinking», but which for the rest of us appears as an ideology characterised by pure nonsense.
One can of course ask the question: Why should one trust health advice from publicly sanctioned sources, which for many years have given gender-confused minors advice about something that is impossible (to change gender), in the worst case with the help of gender operations?
Can one really trust authorities who promised us that Europe would be flooded with doctors and engineers if we only opened the floodgates to Syria, and for everyone else who just claimed to be Syrians?
British authorities have given advice that has led to lifelong medical problems, and in most cases lifelong sterilisation. They have abused their position, knowingly and willingly, and can only blame themselves for the fact that trust has evaporated.
