Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says that it has attacked the headquarters of what it describes as terrorist groups in Iraq.

– The Revolutionary Guard has attacked the headquarters of terrorist groups in Sulaymaniyah in Iraq, according to a message posted on Telegram during the night to Monday by the Iranian state news agency IRNA. (NTB)

This comes only a few hours after Iran attacked Israel with rockets and missiles. The ceasefire appears to be becoming increasingly fragile.

Iran has repeatedly attacked Kurdish groups in Iraq despite a ceasefire. However, the Kurdish groups’ camps have for the most part been evacuated during this period.

Tehran accuses the armed wings of the Kurdish parties of being terrorist organisations serving Western or Israeli interests.
