Ukraine is seeking permission from Elon Musk to use Starlink-equipped drones against ballistic missile launchers deep inside Russia. It is unlikely to receive it. Trump has already reacted coolly to a request from Zelenskyj.

Netflix series ‘Blood Sacrifice’: Swedes have become extras in their own country

In the Netflix series ‘Blood Sacrifice’, it is difficult to recognise anything Swedish. ‘What is truly Scandinavian?’ asked the controversial SAS advert. And as I watched this Swedish crime series almost devoid of typical Swedes, one song kept running through my head: ‘Lyckliga gatan finns inte mer.’ (‘Happy Street is there no more.’)
Does Danish have a future?
‘Danish is a difficult language,’ a German tourist told me outside the bakery. I had to agree, adding that many Danes do not speak it either. Spoken Danish is diverging from the written language at a galloping pace – to such an extent that one cannot learn Danish simply by reading texts.
