President Donald Trump hosted Latin American leaders in Miami to launch the Shield of the Americas, a new U.S.-led security initiative targeting drug cartels and expanding regional military cooperation. The summit brought together allies including Argentina, El Salvador, and Ecuador to form the Americas Counter-Cartel Coalition. While officials say the initiative aims to dismantle criminal networks, it also reflects Washington’s effort to counter China’s growing influence in Latin America.

People living in Norway are willing to use violence to strike the USA and Israel in their conflict with Iran, bringing that war onto Norwegian soil. It raises a series of new questions: why Norway in particular?
To the outside world, it appears incomprehensible: Iran has attacked 12 countries in the region, even those with which it has friendly relations, such as Iraq. But there is a strategy behind it, according to analysts in the Times of Israel. Iran has deliberately chosen chaos as its strategy. They believe they can raise the price of the war to such an extent that neighboring countries will pressure the US and Israel to bring it to an end.
