Norwegian News Media (NTB) has interviewed State Secretary Andreas Kravik following his return from Tehran. It makes for bizarre reading. Both NTB and the Foreign Ministry try to play the neutral middle ground, but when dealing with a regime that has many faces and where it is unclear who actually holds power, diplomacy becomes a farce. Kravik voices no objections whatsoever. He takes the regime at face value. We know that is a major lie.
While screams echo from Iranian torture chambers, the government is sending State Secretary Andreas Kravik to Iran for cosy talks with the executioners. How can anyone schmooze with merciless killing machines without vomiting?
When a Red Party politician sends threats to a citizen, it’s brushed off as “a storm in a teacup.” But when a Progress Party advisor uses words deemed racist, he is shamed, fired and expelled.
