Migrant sexual assaults: A price worth paying to fight racism

An article published on the left-wing website Afru.com helps us to understand the Left’s “morally grounded” neo-racism. Under the title “The Price Worth Paying to End Racism”, the author argues that an increase in sexual assaults and inappropriate approaches by migrants towards Western women is a price worth paying in order to promote assimilation and to rid ourselves of the racism of Western culture.

The author claims that quasi-consensual encounters between migrants and white Western women contribute to assimilation. Increasingly, such encounters result in “a shared flat, a child of mixed race, a new surname and a happy future. A silent revolution across Europe and North America is being led by white, Western women”.

Antiracist rapes may well end in marriage

In the bedroom, according to the article, “a natural assimilation” arises which cannot be achieved through institutions and political decisions. Intimate relationships between Western women and male migrants are the most effective way of breaking down racism and xenophobia.

Central to the argument is that what the extreme far right refers to as the “refugee rape crisis” – the rape crisis among refugees – is in reality “quasi-consensual encounters” – “semi-voluntary encounters” – inappropriate and persistent approaches which nevertheless have the potential to develop into genuine relationships, marriages and mixed children.

Some individual quotations from the article summarise much of the anonymous author’s view of women and society:

– The pioneer women themselves take on the burden of becoming the most powerful force undermining the very architecture of racial exclusion. In countries where an alleged refugee “rape crisis” is presented as a threat, the women’s beautiful, interracial relationships permanently puncture the entire xenophobic Right’s narrative. The transformation is intimate, but the implications are structural.

Racism depends on distance. Stereotypes thrive in the absence of proximity. The moment a Western woman enters into an intimate relationship with a refugee, her eyes are opened.

The article partly refers to Gordon Allport’s “contact theory” (Intergroup Contact Hypothesis) from the book The Nature of Prejudice (1954), a social-psychological theory that direct contact between members of different groups can eliminate prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination. The theory postulates that hostility between groups is often due to ignorance and misinformation, and that meaningful interaction can challenge these attitudes. In the article, this is reduced to the notion that the most intimate form of contact – a sexual relationship – is that which best reduces prejudice. What the article does not include is Allport’s criterion that the parties should have equal status in the situation in which they meet, which can hardly be claimed to be the case in all sexual encounters between immigrant men and European women.

Embodied integration

The author substantiates his position with anecdotal stories such as that a Syrian refugee slapped a nurse in Stuttgart on the buttocks in order to gain attention – only later to become her son-in-law. It is claimed that women in Austria and Paris have entered into relationships with aggressive or persistent migrants which eventually developed into longer relationships.

The article is criticised for being “amoral” and an example of how the Left renames sexual assaults as “cultural misunderstandings” and “necessary steps towards assimilation” in order to fit crimes into an ideological worldview in which white racism is regarded as the greatest moral evil, where traditional Western culture and ethnicity must be dismantled and the right of white people, especially women, to safety and autonomy is subordinated to a collective goal of a “racism-free” world – possibly a world in which only white people are legitimate victims of racism.

– Every single white womb that is adorned with a brown or black child makes racial purity not only more abhorrent, but also logistically impossible.

The author of the article demands cultural submission; Western women are to “sacrifice” themselves in order to assimilate migrants, while the migrants’ patriarchal norms and aggressiveness are not problematised.

One is left somewhat with the understanding that the Left’s mass immigration project is not primarily humanitarian; it is a tool for dismantling Western culture and population.

There is no serious research that concludes that sexual violence leads to better integration. On the contrary. High levels of sexual crime by migrants increase polarisation and weaken trust and security in society.
