Late on Saturday evening, Rubio posted a message on X in which he said that, inter alia, critical minerals were a topic of conversation in Saturday’s meeting with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap).
– In my meeting with the Norwegian Prime Minister, we discussed Norway’s important role in Arctic security and Greenland’s strategic significance. We look forward to co-operating with Norway on security concerning supply chains, including critical minerals, writes Rubio.
The meeting took place during the Munich Security Conference. Afterwards, Støre described the meeting to the press as good, and said that he had used the opportunity to raise the conflict concerning Greenland. The two also spoke about Ukraine, Støre stated.
