The police had to fire shots when they were attacked by a man with a knife when they were out on a “welfare check” at the Fosskvartalet in Lier outside Oslo. The man was injured.

We were supposed to assist the healthcare system with a welfare check when the patrol was threatened and attacked by a man with a knife. The patrol eventually had to fire warning shots. The person, a local man in his 20s, has been arrested, the police tweeted. (NTB)
