The Iranian people are rising up against their rulers — the Shia clerics and generals who, since 1979, have squandered their futures and Iran’s oil wealth on the military, nuclear weapons programmes, and countless terrorist groups across the Middle East and beyond.

Today, the Iranian people are closer to overthrowing the regime than at any point in previous attempts. Demonstrators are risking their lives nationwide. Hijabs and mosques are being set alight.

Yet from Iran’s traditional sympathisers in the West — anti-American leftists, globalist governments, NGOs, and media outlets with a soft spot for the ‘Global South’, the Non-Aligned Movement, and BRICS countries — the silence is deafening.
