Den profilerte aktivisten og vinneren av kåringen «Årets Osloborger» i 2015, Mohsan Raja, reacts strongly to Espen Teigen’s statements concerning a hypothetical choice between keeping dogs or Muslims in Norway.
Raja writes, inter alia, that he wishes for the Document journalist to «burn in hell».
On Sunday evening, Teigen posted an entry on X in which he expressed agreement with Randy Fine that consideration for dogs must take precedence over Muslim special demands.
This came in the wake of a statement by Nerdeen Kiswani, who is an adviser to New York mayor Zohran Mamdani, that dogs are «unclean» and that she was pleased that Islam was gaining ground in New York.
On X, Teigen wrote pointedly: «Could not have agreed more with Randy Fine. If the choice is between keeping dogs or Muslims in Norway, that is not a difficult choice», where he referred to an article that was published on Sunday evening.
Teigen has subsequently elaborated on what he meant in this comment.
Several opposing debaters have responded strongly to the statement, some more strongly than others. One of them is Mohsan Raja. The activist, who regularly participates in demonstrations against SIAN, was in 2015 named «Årets Osloborger».
In a message on WhatsApp, he writes to Teigen:
If the choice were between killing a fly or you, that would not have been a difficult choice!
He then expressed a wish for Teigen: «I pray that you burn well in hell. 🔥»
Here is the entire conversation:

Mohsan Raja tells Document that his statements are not to be regarded as threats, but that Teigen must tolerate his responding in kind, after Teigen himself has gone out so forcefully.
Raja does not consider there to be any principled difference between the dog and fly statements, and maintains that a public quarrel of this type may be compared to quarrels within families. In Norway there are many different groups of people, and this can be both pleasant and conflict-ridden, he observes.
