Crying toddlers who are brutally torn from their parents’ arms to be sent alone to unknown countries far away – all because of the government’s heartless policies. Is that what’s going on in Sweden? Yes. At least if you are to believe the election campaign launched by the leftists.
It’s as simple as it is brilliant, and you can almost hear the discussions taking place in the Social Democrats’ PR department:
– So… We have a pretty boring situation. Social developments are even making women vote for right-wing parties. What do we do..?
– What appeals to women..? Tougher punishment for rapists? A ban on forced dressing? Deportation for honor killings..?
– No, no! F**k no!
– ???
– Emotions. We need to play with more emotions!
– Even more?
– Yes. EVEN more. Even more emotions!
– Yes! Emotions are good! But maybe we can’t hope for another “Refugees Welcome”?
– Mmm… Something about heartless deportations, then… And children! Women like children! The younger and sadder, the better!
– What do you think of this: Deportations of small, crying and lonely children..? Toddlers, even..?
– Brilliant!
– Does anyone have the phone number for the Activist Centre? No, sorry. It should be the Asylum Centre.
The Swedish media delivers a new, heartbreaking story every day now. About ten-year-old Murad who has been living in an asylum reception center for two years. About eight-year-old Gabriella who is to be deported to El Salvador. Eight-month-old (!) Emanuel is to be deported alone (!!) to Iran (!!!).
The Swedish language has even been blessed with a new word: Teenage deportations (tonårsutvisningar).
And so it will continue, until the desired message is hammered into the Swedes: that the current government is so heartless that it makes the German camp commanders from World War II appear as philanthropists.
We are already well on our way. The protests can be heard from TV couches, leaflets and social media, where indignant representatives of practically all parties are now competing with church representatives to be the most indignant and demand rapid changes to the law and amnesties.
The fact that they are in fact acting as useful idiots in the Social Democrats’ election machinery is not given a second thought – now is the time to show off their pure and beautiful hearts.
Because it went so well last time.
We have seen it before. Yes, one could even say that delivering poignant, but not always entirely truthful, portraits of people has become the modus operandi in Swedish domestic politics. This is how we got both Reinfeldt’s open hearts (which turned out to mean open borders and open wallets) and Löfven’s amnesty for Afghan high school students – and the so-called “challenges” that followed.
But the Swede’s memory seems as short as critical scrutiny is absent.
People seriously believe that babies are to be deported without their parents, or that it is the Swedish state’s (read: taxpayers’) duty to welcome and support everyone who manages to get to Sweden. Whatever the reason.
To gently point out that parents are responsible for their children, or that even disgruntled foreign nationals are expected to follow Swedish law, is regarded as evil, brown fascism.
And who wants to be Hitler?
The only official stance accepted in today’s Sweden is therefore to give everyone what they want. Once again.
Gone are the discussions about failed integration, gang crime, shootings, bombings, returning IS terrorists, honor killings, health queues and terrorist threats. The fact that middle school students are recruited to murder and our elderly are raped by employees in home care doesn’t generate newspaper headlines when the spotlight could instead be on parents who use their children as pawns in the asylum game.
When the red-green election victory is to be secured, neither truth nor consequences are of any concern.
Six months before the election, the most important thing is to, once again, prove to be “nice” – based on the red-green definition, which means that one’s own citizens should be put last in line.
What did the actress Lena Endre say during the 2014 election campaign? “A good person is a left-wing person.”
On September 13, the Social Democrats will usurp political power in Sweden. The ends justify the means, and no one can say no to a baby.
If they succeed, the PR department will soon be able to recommend their politicians to use an already well-rehearsed phrase:
“We have been naive.”
