A housing manager who worked for London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan has been accused of celebrating the terrorist attack on 7 October.
Nabil Al-Kinani, an immigrant from Iraq who works as head of development for Royal Docks, has shared several posts on social media that appear to praise the terrorist group Hamas, including by glorifying the attacks on 7 October 2023, reports The Telegraph.
Al-Kinani is reported to have described the terrorist attack on social media as a ‘brilliant operation’ and hailed Hamas as ‘freedom fighters’. 1,195 people were killed and 251 taken hostage on this tragic day in Israel’s history.
According to The Telegraph, Al-Kinani has now been suspended from his post pending an investigation.

A spokesperson for Campaign Against Antisemitism described Al-Kinani’s rhetoric as “grotesque” and called for a “strong response” from the mayor’s office.
“It is bad enough that our immigration system allows extremists to enter and remain in our country, but employing them in the public sector on high-profile projects is rubbing salt into the wound. The Mayor’s Office must investigate the matter, and if the allegations are confirmed, Nabil Al-Kinani must be dismissed.
Fewer than one in ten British Jews are satisfied with Sadiq Khan’s handling of relations with the Jewish community since 7 October 2023. A strong response to these revelations could help to restore the eroded trust. We will be writing to the mayor.”
Controversial mayor
Sadiq Khan is chair of C40, the climate organisation that launched the ‘15-minute cities”, which involves cramming people into shoebox-sized spaces and ensuring they can manage without fossil-fuelled vehicles.
Motorists in London have already felt the full force of Khan’s climate fanaticism after he decided to turn central parts of London into ULEZs (Ultra Low Emission Zones).
This highly unpopular scheme involved installing a vast number of CCTV cameras to penalise offenders who failed to pay, with hefty fines for every kilometre they drove.
London’s hated traffic cameras must be protected by thuggish guards
He was also among the first Britons to put pressure on former Prime Minister Keir Starmer to recognise a Palestinian state. In addition, Khan has been a strong opponent of a third runway at London’s congested Heathrow Airport, on climate grounds.
– Serious allegations
Susan Hall, the Conservative leader on the city council, said she was “appalled” by the allegations and urged Lord Khan to take action.
“Amidst a climate of rising anti-Semitism, a record number of anti-Semitic attacks and repugnant proposals adopted by political parties seeking to provoke Britain’s Jewish community, I am appalled by the allegations against Al-Kinani.”
Hall believes that if the allegations are true, there must be real consequences. She is clear that ‘supporters of a genocidal terrorist group’ should not be employed in public office in the capital.
“We will always stand shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish community in Britain in the fight against the monsters behind the massacres of 7 October and their supporters. Anything else would be tantamount to cowardice.”
Sir James Cleverly, the Conservative candidate for Mayor of London, said:
“These are serious allegations, and it is right that the police are investigating the matter. I do not wish to comment on an individual or an ongoing police investigation.
But Londoners will expect Sadiq Khan to explain how this person was appointed, what checks were carried out, and what measures are being taken. We must have zero tolerance for support for terrorist organisations in London or elsewhere.”
Al-Kinani himself cites UN resolutions.
“UN General Assembly Resolution 37/43 reaffirms the legitimacy of peoples’ struggle against colonial and foreign domination by all available means, ‘including armed struggle’.
Resolution 3070 similarly recognises armed struggle in the pursuit of liberation and calls on member states to provide moral and material assistance to peoples striving for self-determination. The United Kingdom is a member of the UN and must comply with the resolution.”
It does not appear that Al-Kinani understands that not even the UN, which must be regarded as an enemy of Israel, considers the slaughter of civilians to be acceptable acts in an armed conflict.
Nor do the laws of war permit the killing of young children, severe torture, brutal rapes followed by murder, or the taking of civilians as hostages with subsequent torture, murder, starvation and sexual abuse whilst in captivity.
