Special Counsel Jack Smith was preparing a mass persecution of the MAGA movement, targeting both its leaders – with Trump at the helm – and the rank and file who donated small amounts. Smith was on the inside of the system and was able to exploit it ruthlessly. He also monitored members of Congress, which is strictly forbidden, but as he had the Biden regime backing him, he could demand their silence.
What has come to light is so extensive that the charges he managed to bring against Trump are merely the tip of the iceberg.
Skilled journalists such as Julie Kelly and Catherine Herridge, who have made Biden’s undermining of the rule of law their speciality, are painting a picture of what lay beneath the surface, with considerable help from senators such as Chuck Grassley. What is coming to light is so extensive that it must have consequences.
Smith was planning something which, had it been carried out, would have been reminiscent of the Moscow Trials of the 1930s.
These responses confirmed his extensive, albeit distorted, plan to bring charges against hundreds of Republican lawmakers, officials in Trump’s White House, conservative organisations, online influencers and anyone associated with the MAGAmovement for exercising their freedom of speech in the run-up to 6 January 2021, as part of the so-called ‘Arctic Frost’ investigation which was launched in April 2022 by the then Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco; Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) continues to present a treasure trove of documents from the Special Counsel’s office that reveal the corrupt, unconstitutional and utterly insane nature of Smith’s crusade to destroy the MAGA movement through ‘Arctic Frost’.
What are we basing such a claim on? Smith requested the handover of all communications from 87 White House staff members, including Trump. There is a great deal one can do with communications these days. One can link them to conspiracies, which is a Democratic speciality.
What is perhaps most outrageous – and which, at the very least, has major implications for the Fourth Amendment and the privileges of the executive branch – is that Smith bypassed the normal legal process to quickly obtain the phone records of 87 officials in Trump’s White House, including President Trump. According to an email correspondence between Windom and Gary Stern, the then legal adviser at the National Archives, the agency handed over these records to the special counsel’s team in August 2023 in response to a subpoena.
The Trump family was also implicated. When nearly 30 FBI agents raided Mar-a-Lago, they went through everything, even the most private items, such as Melania’s underwear. The FBI showed that they respected no boundaries. This is a hallmark of totalitarian societies: “We can do anything to you. You are defenceless.»
Once you have driven a victim into such a corner, most people break down. That is how they broke National Security Adviser Mike Flynn. They threatened to go after his son.
Among the White House staff members covered by the request were Dan Scavino, Kash Patel and Mark Meadows; Smith also obtained the phone records of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. (This was in addition to subpoenas issued to mobile network operators seeking access to so-called ‘call logs’ for several Republican senators, as well as gag orders prohibiting the companies from notifying the lawmakers.)
Here is a small detail that the reader must bear in mind. Normally, the legal counsel for the National Archives would have halted such a disclosure, which was unlawful. The entire American system is based on government agencies being independent and upholding the principles of the rule of law. But Obama began the process of placing his own people in all state and federal agencies. A deliberate strategy to have his people on the inside. They were not going to snitch.
Imagine what Attorney General Merrick Garland and Jack Smith had in mind: trials in which the White House would first be indicted and convicted by juries appointed by judges in Washington, where 90 per cent vote for the Democrats. Once the charges of subverting the Constitution had been proven, mass trials against thousands of MAGA donors could begin.
But Grassley made even more shocking revelations this week. For example, Smith obtained details of donations from nearly 5,000 Americans to Trump and associated political action committees. Why? Smith said nothing about it, but one can safely assume that these donors would have been harassed and perhaps prosecuted by Smith had Kamala Harris won the 2024 election.
Trial balloon
First came a few trial balloons. The methods the FBI used against Trump associates such as George Papadopoulos and Carter Page in 2016 spoke volumes about how far Obama’s Department of Justice and his FBI were willing to go. They made things up completely out of the blue. Carter Page was accused of having been promised 10 per cent of the oil company Rosneft if he cooperated with the Kremlin. That is just as far-fetched as telling someone they would get 10 per cent of Equinor.
When the FBI received a message from the CIA stating that Carter Page had worked for them, the FBI falsified the email so that it said the opposite.
It was these methods that Biden and Garland resumed when they came to power in 2020. They simply picked up where they left off. They had never left the depths of the institutions.
Smith was appointed in August 2022 and set to work immediately.
But there was more to Smith’s demands on NARA (the National Archives) than one might immediately suspect. The documents revealed a goldmine of text messages between Trump’s officials and members of Congress; Grassley recently revealed that text messages belonging to 44 lawmakers, including himself, were caught up in the disclosure. Smith, the renowned defender of the ‘rule of law’, ignored the protection afforded to lawmakers by the ‘speech and debate clause’; after all, Biden’s Department of Justice had already successfully challenged references to the Speech and Debate Clause in relation to most of the data extracted from Representative Scott Perry’s mobile phone, whose device was snatched from his hands in August 2022 whilst he was on a family holiday, thanks to the then Chief Judge of the D.C. Circuit, Beryl Howell.
Intimidation
For a totalitarian takeover to succeed, one must intimidate or bring courageous journalists to heel.
Grassley further revealed that the documents from NARA contained text messages from dozens of journalists from leading news organisations, including CBS, NBC, Fox News and the Wall Street Journal. Sean Davis, CEO and co-founder of The Federalist – which Grassley also mentioned – issued a comprehensive statement. “The corrupt police officer Jack Smith spied on The Federalist and gained access to our communications during his lawless witch-hunt against Trump. We are still working to find out which of our journalists were subjected to surveillance by Jack Smith, and what journalistic communications he and his henchmen seized.”
Yet still, no one has been brought to justice for the massive abuses first under Trump 1.0 and then under Biden.
The Democrats simply picked up where they left off and carried on as before.
This has led to a certain degree of disillusionment on the MAGA side. No matter how serious the abuses that are exposed, they remain in power.
