Response to the Norwegian Editors’ Association

The Norwegian Editors’ Association must decide whether it can tolerate a completely different portrayal of reality, or whether it wishes to shut down the public sphere and allow only one version. This is a serious question. The press does not exist for its own sake. Its ultimate judge is the Norwegian people. They, too, have a right to be heard and not merely to be taken for granted.
